OUR CLASSES



We have a range of obedience style classes for dogs of all ages. We believe in using positive methods of training to ensure that your dog gets the most out of our classes and becomes the best canine companion that they can be. Our classes are fun and interactive with very small sizes to ensure that you and your dog gets the individual attention that they need to succeed.



Training During Covid-19




UPDATE Jan 2021: Puppy, Junior and Fundamentals classes will be in person from June 2020. Zoom sessions will be held in week 1 orientation for all these classes.
EASTER CLASSES - The March course runs over Easter. Please check with your individual trainer if your class will run over the Easter weekend.

PUPPY CLASS





For puppies aged between 8-16 weeks of age and had their first vaccination. Pawsitive puppy classes help to set your puppy up for success while learning in a fun and relaxed environment.


Puppy class isn't just about socialising with other puppies, it's also about teaching your puppy basic manners and focus exercises, plus how to settle and build calm confidence. We also teach cooperative care skills and the importance of choice.


Classes are small (max 4 puppies) so you can get individual attention and coaching.


$220 for a 6-week course (first session via Zoom)

1 x 6-week puppy class + 1 x 1-hour in-home visit, $395. The in-home session can be before or after you get your puppy. Valid for 2 months.

FUNDAMENTALS CLASS





For dogs aged 4 months and over that have not attended a puppy class or other training. If you have adopted a new dog, or just never got around to doing puppy training with your dog, this is the class for you!

This class includes:

  • Getting and keeping your dog's attention
  • Basic manners - sit, drop, stay, stand
  • Walking on a lead without pulling
  • Getting your dog to come to you even when they are busy/distracted
  • Household manners
  • Tricks for fun and husbandry

$220 for a 6-week course (first session via Zoom)

JUNIOR CLASS






For dogs aged between 16 weeks and 8 months that have completed a puppy class. This class is specifically designed to help you with your young dog at this impressionable age. Let us help you take the stress out of puppy adolescence! This course includes:


  • Getting and keeping your dog's attention
  • Basic manners - sit, drop, stay and stand
  • Walking on a lead without pulling (in real life situations!)
  • Getting your dog to you even when they are busy/distracted Household manners
  • Tricks for fun and husbandry

$220 for a 6-week course* (first session via Zoom)

For dogs who have completed Junior or Fundamentals class, and are ready to move onto more exciting challenges.


Build on the skills already started: build confidence, better focus, master loose lead walking, work in closer proximity to other dogs, and much more.


Classes are small so you can get individual attention and coaching.


$200 for a six-week course (pre-requisite is the completion of Junior or Fundamentals courses)

Community Skills





If you have done basic training with your dog, perhaps tried some other classes, but really want to get out and about and see the world with your dog? Our Community Skills class may be just the right course for you.


This course is suited to:​

  • Those who want to spend time with their dog doing social activities in their community like going to cafes and parks
  • People who just want a great well behaved canine companion
  • People considering participating in community/volunteer programs such as therapy dog visits, reading/story dogs, or dogs for safety awareness programs.
  • Those who want to take their dog to visit family or friends in care facilities, but not necessarily as part of a volunteer program.

$220 for a 6-week course
